Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime arrives in India with a large battery, quad camera and 90 Hz screen on intermediate datasheet

The Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime is the Chinese manufacturer’s newest cell phone. Announced this Friday (3) to the Indian public, Xiaomi’s smartphone draws attention for its large battery with a capacity of 6,000 mAh. The phone also has a quad camera of 50 megapixels and an intermediate datasheet with a MediaTek processor.

The Prime variant arrives in India shortly after the release of Redmi 10 in August . The highlight of the launch is the 6,000 mAh battery, which is superior to the 5,000 mAh component of the global edition. Xiaomi even included a 22.5 watt charger in the box, but the smartphone only supports charging up to 18 watts.

Other specifications are similar between models. This is the case of the quadruple 50-megapixel camera, accompanied by another 8-megapixel camera with an ultrawide lens. The photographic set is complete with two more 2-megapixel sensors, one for macro and the other for capturing the depth of field.

Technical sheet brings 90 Hz screen and MediaTek processor

The screen is another point of attention on the Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime. With 6.5 inches and Full HD+ resolution, the panel has a 90 Hz refresh rate, a specification also found on the Samsung Galaxy A52. The 8-megapixel front camera is in a hole placed in the center of the display.

The datasheet is led by the MediaTek Helio G88 processor, which is accompanied by RAM of up to 6GB. To store apps, photos, music, and other types of files, the smartphone has storage of up to 128 GB. It is also possible to expand the space using a microSD memory card of up to 512 GB.

Price and availability

Mobile phone sales are expected to start on September 7, 2021, in India. The suggested price starts at 12,499 rupees. Check the smartphone values ​​below:

  • 4GB + 64GB: 12,499 rupees (about R$890 in direct conversion);
  • 6GB + 128GB: 14,499 rupees (about R$1,030).

There is no forecast for launching the Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime in Brazil.
